The Nissan GT-R super-car, developed from an innovative international design, fully confirms the Nissan motto: innovation that excites! Although the basic GT-R faithfully reflects Japanese culture, American designers replaced the chunky rear-end with rounded contours, while European designers put a swoop into the roof. Add Nissan engineering excellence and the result is a global super-car with extraordinary acceleration (60mph in 3 seconds) and a top speed of 195mph; exciting indeed!

Nissan history

The Jidosha-Seizo Kabushiki-Kaisha company, established in 1933, changed its name to the decidedly more pronounceable 'Nissan' in 1934. The following year, the Yokohama factory produced its first car and started exporting to Australia. In 1960, Nissan won the Deming Prize for engineering excellence. The company flourished during the 1960s, only to experience a down trend during the energy crisis of the following decade. Today, Nissan is the third largest car-manufacturer in Japan and has manufacturing and assembly plants around the world.

GT-R history

The first Nissan GT-R, a two-door luxury coupé, was introduced in 2007. It was the successor to the Nissan Skyline GT-R, which was the enhanced version of the successful Nissan Skyline sedan car. The Skyline GT-R range of high-performance automobiles had two very successful seasons: 1969-1974 and 1989-2002. Today's Nissan GT-R is no longer a Skyline evolution, having undergone complete innovative re-design.

GT-R soul

Nissan calls the new GT-R super-car an 'unmatched blend of technology and soul'. Abundance of advanced Japanese technology is no surprise, and Nissan's exceptionally dedicated work-force gets fully involved in every new-build, individual car assembly, new project and innovation, ensuring a touch of soul is blended into the Nissan GT-R construction formula.

Master craftsmanship

Nissan GT-R engines are assembled, or rather created, by master craftsmen. Highly specialised skills, acquired over years of dedication to engine construction, are the characteristics of Nissan craftsmen who bring specialised know-how and passion to the task. For over 100 years, Nissan has employed dedicated master craftsmen to create Nissan engines: one craftsman to one engine, from start to finish - full-scale individual creation! Ponder a moment, as you lift the bonnet on your Nissan GT-R: that powerful engine under your gaze was hand-crafted just for you!

All-wheel drive

The GT-R advanced all-wheel drive system assures perfect control in every kind of weather, even in treacherous snow and ice or slippery off-road conditions. Confidence to venture abroad in all weathers, from sub-zero temperatures to extreme heat, is part of the Nissan GT-R package; powerful engine performance, advanced safety features, sumptuous seating and smooth handling complete the Nissan GT-R driving experience.

Nissan's motto, “innovation that excites”, is evidently aimed at drivers who appreciate the latest technological innovations in up-to-the-minute driving machines. Nissan is in constant pursuit of technical improvements that make driving the GT-R an exciting activity. Innovation-conscious drivers are those who change their cars often, usually going for the updated version of their GT-R. These drivers find our services useful; we take the hassle out of having to sell one car before purchasing another. We buy prestige super-cars like the Nissan GT-R, and we treat them with the devotion of a Nissan master craftsman. We also deal with all the practicalities and paper-work; find out more by completing our enquiry form. Soon enough, you will be enjoying your new Nissan GT-R, complete with innovation that excites!
